Caper leads the Hills District in offering exciting and varied performance opportunities. We believe that the key to nurturing a student’s love for performing arts is to provide them with performance opportunities that will not only make the experience fun, but also inspire and motivate the student to work harder at enhancing their skills.

ANNUAL CONCERT

All students have the option to perform at the Annual Concert which is held each year at either the Hills Centre or the Parramatta Riverside Theatre. Please visit the Annual Concert page for more information.

SHOWS

Caper students are a regular attraction at many community events. A wide cross section of Caper students receive the opportunity to perform at these shows and they ae not only restricted to Show Team students to find out about more Caper shows please visit the Shows page.

SHOW TEAM

Whilst participation is shows is spread out to include as many students as possible, Caper has a dedicated Show Team consisting of students who perform at every Caper show. Participation in the show team is at the discretion of Caper Directors, Kate & Beth McDermott. To find about more about Caper shows please visit the Shows page.

REP TEAM

Caper also has a separate representative dance team (Rep Team) where the focus is on representing the school at dance competitions. Members of the representative team are handpicked by their teachers for their enthusiasm, motivation and ability. Rep Team members have a proud history of success – Caper came first at their first ever eisteddfod in 2003 and have not looked back since. Rep Team students train each week for their competition routine however undertake many other classes including acrobatics and technique to retain their competitive edge. Caper had 39 first place results in 2010 for group competitions alone as well as many other “seconds” and “thirds” and highly commended results. EISTEDDFODS & COMPETITIONS

Since opening in 2003, Caper has an enviable track record in eisteddfods. To perform in eisteddfods or competitions, students are selected by the Caper faculty to join the Rep Team. For more information please visit the Eisteddfods page.

SOLOS

A very small number of students are selected each year to represent Caper as soloists in competitions. Caper soloists have acheived great success on the solo circuit including winning solo sections and championship sections at the Sydney Eisteddfod.
