LORNA JANE PERFORMANCE
Monday 19 December
Congratulations to Kelsey, Kira, Nicole and Sophie who performed as 'dancing mannequins' at the Lorna Jane store at Castle Hill last Thursday. I am sure the shoppers enjoyed your dance moves!
MOVIE DAY
Monday 5 December
Thank you to all families who attended the Rep Show Team Movie Day. It was such a fun way to celebrate the end of the year. We hope all the students enjoyed their plaques and congratulations to those students who won the Team Work and Ca-Peer Awards. We were blown away by the amazing entries into the costume and food competitions! We had students dressed as christmas trees (complete with flashing lights), presents, elves, santa, snowmans and more. The food was delicious and a shout out to Sarah for making the Caper cake shaped like a present, complete with blue and pink tree ornaments. We also loved the movie 'Arthur Christmas' - if only Caper could have its own elf battalion! We will soon put up photos of the fantastic event so stay tuned!
ALANA JOINS THE CAST OF 'LOVE NEVER DIES'
Tuesday 29 November
We are thrilled to announce that our very own 8u Rep student, Alana, has successfully auditioned for Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Love Never Dies'. Love Never Dies will be showing at the Capitol Theatre during 2012 and we cannot wait to see her live on stage! A huge thank you to the team from Electric Safari who helped Alana gain this opportunity.
CONCERT SUCCESS
Tuesday 29 November
Thank you to all students and crew involved in our final concert on 27 November. We are sad now that all the concerts are over! We cannot wait until next year when we celebrate our 10th Anniversary concert series!

PROJECT DANCE GALA

Thank you to the 12u Rep Team for participating the in the Project Dance Gala Concert last night at the Sutherland Entertainment Centre. It was an amazing event with such wonderful talent - what an honour to be involved! We are thrilled that we contributed to the $30 000 that was raised for the family of a fallen soldier in Afghanistan.

The Caper students have been dancing up a storm at eisteddfods and we are so proud!
- Sarah achieved 1st place at the Central Coast Eisteddfod and Dance Classique with her jazz solo
- Jackson came 1st with his tap solo at Dance Classique, Picnic Point & Ooh La La Eisteddfod
- Grace came 2nd in Dance Classique Eisteddfod in Jazz solo
- Georgia came 1st at the Central Coast Eisteddfod with her jazz solo
- Emelia won the ‘Most Talented’ Award at the Queenie Audition Techniques Workshop
- Aleena achieved 1st in Tap, 2nd Jazz, 2nd in ballet, Gold in Demi, Gold in Lyrical at Show Case
- Aleena scored in the top ten of highest scoring juniors at Show Case
- Aleena qualified to perform in the Dancer of the Year finals at Show Case
- Claire, Demi, Jessica, Julia, Isabella, Lachlan, Lauren, Lizzie, Natalie.C and Natalie.V and Josh successfully auditioned for the Packemin Production of Oliver
- Breanna Sommerton and Demi McFarlane will be performing in the SYMT production of Pinnochio
- Many students auditioned for Young Talent Time and had a ball. Good luck for the rest of the process!

RAD BALLET EXAM RESULTS
Thursday 30 June
The ballet exam results have arrived and congratulations to all students involved! A big thank you to Miss Natalie and Miss Chrishanthi for all of their work in preparing the students. All students passed the exams and the studio average was 80%. Congratulations to Isabella who acheived the highest result of 94%.

We are excited to announce that Alana from our 8/u Rep Team has now filmed two television commmercials, one for Natural Gas and the other for Samsung. Her younger brother Bradley will be appearing in a Holden commercial. Alana and Bradley both attended the 2010 Caper Electric Safari Workshop which led them to these opportunities.

We have had at least 30 Caper kids selected by the producers of "All For Kids" (Channel Seven) to tape episodes of this popular TV show during 2010, congratulations to all students involved.

The 10u Rep Team were thrilled to qualify to perform at the Sydney Eisteddfod's Dance of Champions. It was an honour to dance amongst some of the best studios in Sydney and such a thrill to see our studio featured when the show was televised on Channel 10!

We are thrilled to announce that our 10/u Rep Team acheived first in the jazz and third in the ballet sections at Sydney Eisteddfod. Our 12/u Rep Team achieved 2nd in ballet and Highly Commended in ballet.
Congratulations to Aleena Tchetchenian who was awarded first place at Sydney Eisteddfod for the 10/u Lyrical Solo and the 10/u Jazz Solo. There were many, many entrants (over 40) and she has done a wonderful job Congratulations also to Emilia Brunetto who received Highly Commended in the 13/u Jazz Solo - Fantastic!
GWT TAP EXAM RESULTS AND SCHOLARSHIP

The resuls are in and we are so excited! 23 Gold Awards (98-100%) and 37 High Distinctions (85-97%) A special mention to Alyssa Coleiro who now holds the Caper record in tap exams by achieving the school's highest ever mark of 99.5%! Well done to Jackson Biala, Charlotte Cameron, Madeleine Smith and Aleena Tchetchenian who all came equal second with 99%! A further congratulations to Alyssa, Jackson and Ella for making it into the finals of the GWT Scholarships - and Alyssa for receiving the Encouragement Award!
PYRAMID TV FILMING

A few months ago producers from the Channel Nine children's game show "Pyramind" visited the studio to conduct a casting with the Caper kids. We had several students successfully chosen to appear as contestants on the show and we now looking forward to seeing them air on TV later this year!

VIBEOLOGY TO PERFORM AT GALA CONCERT

We are thrilled to announce that the organisers of the Northern Beaches Eisteddfod have invited our 12/u Jazz Rep Team to perform at their Gala Concert! Only a small selection of entrants from the eisteddfod are invited to perform so we are very honoured to be involved.
CAROLINE O'CONNOR VISITS CAPER
April 2010
Over the Easter holidays our studio was used as the venue for the filming of a documentary on musical theatre luminary Caroline O’Connor. It is part series called ‘As Australian as’ and is to be shown on Foxtel’s Bio channel. Other Australians to be featured in this documentary series include Cathy Freeman, John Wood and Alex Perry. Excitingly, the production company also requested several of our ballet students to be filmed for use in the documentary. Our students had the wonderful chance to meet Caroline who is best known for playing the lead role of Velma in the Broadway production of Chicago and her role as "Nini" in Moulin Rouge. Caroline gave us wonderful feedback on the quality of our students and standard of the facilities we provide. The students involved benefited from the invaluable experience of working with a film crew and director. Congratulations to Grade 2 Ballet students Jayde Albulario, Julian Chan, Amy Hassarati, Sophie Nash and Danialla Tomkins who performed beautifully for the cameras!
